FAQ

Some of the frequently asked questions

What sets Voice Within You apart?

Our unique strength lies in the blend of our professional training and our lived experiences. As therapists who have personally navigated the challenges of building a life in a new country, we bring a deep cultural understanding that goes beyond textbooks. We integrate this perspective with client-centred, trauma-informed, and evidence-based care to provide support that is both empathetic and clinically exceptional.

What is included in the 15-minute consultation call?

Your complimentary 15-minute consultation is a confidential, no-obligation opportunity for us to connect. This brief call allows you to share what’s bringing you to therapy and ask any questions about our approach. Together, we can determine if working with us feels like the right fit for your needs and goals. The conversation is focused on mutual understanding, ensuring you feel comfortable and confident before booking your first full session.

Does Voice Within You accept insurance?

Yes, many insurance providers cover our services, as our therapists are Registered Psychotherapists. We recommend checking with your insurance provider directly to confirm the details of your coverage.

How many sessions are needed?

The number of sessions varies depending on your individual needs and goals. We will discuss a tailored plan during your consultation and first session, and we will review your progress regularly.

What is Voice Within You’s cancellation policy?

At Voice Within You, we understand that life can be unpredictable. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice. This allows us to offer the time to another client who may need support. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice, as well as missed appointments (no-shows), may be subject to the full session fee. We do make exceptions for emergencies and unexpected circumstances.

Is online therapy just as beneficial as in-person sessions?

Yes. Online therapy can be just as effective as in-person sessions for many concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, and relationship issues. It also offers added flexibility and comfort, allowing you to connect from your own space while still receiving the same level of professional, compassionate care.
